We're still alive, I promise!

Unfortunately a lot has been coming up for all of us. Tamaki and Haruhi (or is it Sanji and Robin now?) have both taken off to their states and communication has been sort of down until recently.

But we are not dead. Just a little slow right now. Pictures from CC will be uploaded soon and maybe we can plan for a winter gathering if anyone is interested. We are not sure yet if and will be returning for winter this year. Ticket prices are getting pretty bad! It'd be nice if you could let us know if you are interested though?

More to be added soon as soon as there is a point all of us can discuss things together! Worry not my friends, we are still around!

Yes, you heard correctly people, OotoroProductions has an official gathering planned. We've had our ups and downs and despite some of us having problems and a few not being able to show up we'd still like to invite people to join us for a little fun.

Date: July 19th, 2009 (Sunday)
Place: Seaport village (Carousel meeting!)
Time: 1:00p.m - whenever!

This is a PRE-con party, join us if you can!

All are welcome, in casual, full, or no cosplay. This has been in the works for some time and we WERE thinking of canceling it. However, we just haven't had a chance to see anyone and would like to get some hang-out time before the BIG event.

If you can make it please leave us a message here or send a note to one of the members. Which ever is easier.

Also, we COULD turn this into the pot-luck considering it is about lunch time and SeaPort village is semi-expensive. Let me know please, either way OP will bring some happy, celebration cookies.

EDIT: Just an update! We're all totally thrilled by the outcome and the amount of people wanting to show. You guys are awesome! Just want to remind everyone that the summer weather IS creeping up. It's hot out there! And although we're going to be by the water it's still for the best if you bring some water or something to keep yourself hydrated. Also beware hot costumes! I'm sure we know how this works seeing as how Comic-con is always pretty hot, but just be aware. Don't want people to be passing out on us.

Also, this is your last chance to send out a note with request for phone numbers or any extra information you need from us. We will more than likely not be available tomorrow morning as we will be preparing for things.

Ootoro Productions happily announces we are still very much alive and preparing for the Comic-con/ San Diego adventure that awaits us. We can't wait to see everyone again and most of us are just itching to get back to our cosplays. It's no fun when we aren't all together, of course.

And as promised we have many gatherings planned out for everyone just as many other people have their own things planned out. As we'd hate to plan something on the same day as another person we'd like to start planning out the details where we can.

Our wonderful king (~Pezzidge) will not be returning to us until the second or so week in July. The commoner (~La-Tulipe-Noire) will be back sometime mid-May. For surprise purposes actual dates are not being revealed. Everyone else is already in California besides a person who will be joining us for much of our cosplays and is going to be our Zoro this year and our Lavi the next (~alacorn123)

Anyway, due to money problems we are thinking that Sea World is NOT going to be a possibility. It's not ruled out completely but at the current time we are thinking no.

Zoo is a definite.

Potluck as well, but we're still attempting to find a suitable location. It depends completely on weather for this one. A picnic sounds lovely but no one wants to melt in their cosplays, hm?

Bowling is still on the table, but at the moment it might be a little expensive. There are also other possible plans on how to change this particular event.

Seaport village... Meh, this can take place on any of the days.

Another one that we'd like to add, and just as hanging out, not as cosplay because it would be difficult... But several people have been bringing up the fact that the musical Wicked will be in town around the time of Comic-con. July, 29 - August 30 to be exact. The cheapest tickets are $35 a person according to this site: [link] The seats at the civic theater are very nice so no matter where you are sitting it is still a good view. This is a special event and we're in need of specifics for this one. If we buy the tickets at the same time we can sit together, obviously... If no one is interested well, we'll still be going to it either way.

These events will take place between early July and mid August because that is when ~Pezzidge will be in town. Of course we have a lot of plans and both Pidge and Tulipe are needing to spend time with their families. I'd like to know if anyone has any problems with any of these dates or if you'd like to join us, please let me know once more. I wish I could give you specific days but as long as Pidge is still unsure about her own dates we don't know when we can plan things.

Let me know what you are interested in and if certain days are bad for you. We want to make things as easy as possible on people as well as convenient. We would like to see everyone as much as possible due to the fact that some of us live on different sides of the U.S and so we're trying to consider all factors here.

So as many of you know, a few of our members have seen it fit to take their leave of Ootoro Productions. Each have their own reasons, but it is certainly their own wishes and more then likely for the best. We wish the best for those few who had to part, and hope that they are happy doing whatever it is they do now~!

At the same time, this leaves a few openings in the cosplay group~! Though we have filled a few spots, we still are looking for a few friends to cosplay a few openings for us! This doesn't exactly mean that we're looking to induct members into Ootoro Productions, because that has a little more requirements then just costumes, but we'd certainly enjoy it if we had some friends who would like to hang out with us~! The current spot we are looking to fill are the following:

This is all depending on whether or not we have time to re-do our Ouran costumes by Comic-Con. While our old jackets are cool, there were measurement problems that we feel need to be fixed. And we just kind of want to make our own, since some members in our group have really gotten quite decent at sewing~! Everyone is getting new wigs to be more accurate, and jackets will follow, if not by this summer, then hopefully by winter~!

We'll be posting other openings later, but for now Usopp is our main concern. We'd like to congratulate ~recklessfolly for stepping up from Vivi to being our Luffy, as well as ~La-Tulipe-Noire's friend for sliding in as Zoro and later, Lavi~!

But if any of you are interested in possibly cosplay Usopp with us, please let us know! However, showing interest doesn't necessarily mean you'll get the position, as there are a few standards we look for. Nothing too difficult really, mainly just personality, and the ability to get along with others. We would want someone who could get along with ALL of our friends. The reason we put this is because there have been a few others who have previously shown interest, but in some way or another conflicts with some of our good friends. When we hold events, we would like to invite everyone we are close to, and not leave anybody out, so this is our main concern. Others will be posted privately to each who may be interested.

Now that the openings are out of the way, who else is excited for Comic-Con? It's growing so much closer, and everyone in Ootoro Productions is getting really pumped for it! Costumes are more than half finished for almost everyone in the group, and we have our gatherings being planned.

So far, we know for a fact that Wednesday night will be dedicated to Ouran Host Club. There will probably be a picnic in Seaport Village, but that is still being discussed within the group. We'll be debuting One Piece on Thursday, and Saturday is also another day completely dedicated to One Piece. The One Piece gathering will be at noon on Saturday outside of Ballroom 20 (where else?) and then we'll probably break off for lunch~!

We know that there is alot of people who are asking individual members to hang out, but please remember folks, our group is our first priority. We'd love to hang out and do fun things, but if it clashes with the original Ootoro plans, then we're more than likely going to put those first.

Alright, this journal has been a little all over the place, but perhaps it's just the excitement of the con building. Of course we know it's still months away, but every moment is just a step closer~!

So as we prepare, get ready, and summon our workers and servants, we also are sending our wishes out that we will see every single one of you there~!

Well, the gap between now and Comic-con is getting so much shorter, and we here at OotoroProductions are getting antsy! Especially Tamaki and Haruhi who are counting the days until they can return to California! (At least Haruhi is) However, we're not really sure WHEN that will happen.

But Tamaki and Haruhi have already been discussing plans for gatherings and we have loads to offer you all! But first we need your opinions! And who can or can not make it! ALL of the following offers are open for ANYONE. This is unlike the Tea party, anyone who wishes to join and INFORMS someone in OP first is welcome. This is the only restriction, mostly because we don't want to miss anyone!

The following are possibilities:
The Zoo (casual cosplay but let's not go nuts here people) - Tamaki loves the zoo and suggested we make a day of it! Sounds like fun!

Sea World (Casual or none because of the risk of getting wet) - Haruhi adores Sea World and didn't get to make it out the last time she was out so she'd like to go this time if possible!

Potluck (casual or full) - Bring a food to share and we'll mix it up. Location is still up in the air as nature may curse us for being outside with hundred degree weather.

Bowling (casual or none) - Once again Haruhi missed her bowling adventure back home, help her out, hm?

SeaPort village - Traditional, it must be done.

Details for things are still unknown. Right now we're just trying to figure out who is interested and who is not. All these things will still take place no matter how many people show up. Mostly because this is something OP wants to do as a group of friends. We just thought maybe it would be more fun to include everyone in the activities.

Everything will possibly take place AFTER con. Things changed and Haruhi got confused. Apparently Tamaki WILL be back earlier just not sure when. I still say AFTER con until further notice. Both Tamaki and Haruhi will be leaving around the same time so we're going to squish in as much as we can into events.
